On behalf of the Senior Captain and Committee, we would like to extend a warm welcome to any potential members of the section. We know you will really enjoy your golf here, both on and off the course.

The Senior Section arranges a full programme of events and competitions, including friendly games with many other local clubs. Details are posted on the Seniors Notice Board in the Changing Room. Anyone aged 55 or over is eligible to take part and we would be pleased to welcome you ‘on board’. Just put your name down on the sheet with whatever handicap you have.

There are many ways you can participate - whether you want to improve your handicap, enjoy playing some of the finest courses at a reduced rate or simply want to have fun playing the game we all love:

Competitions
The Section organises Medal, Stableford, Individual, 4 Ball and Foursomes competitions, which run throughout the year, with trophies and other prizes to be played for. There are also many ‘fun events’, where the format of the day will reflect the more informal side of the Senior Section – where enjoyment is the priority. One such is the SAAGs (the Scramblers Ancient Arthritic Golf Society) on Thursday mornings. To find out more, click here

Interclub Friendlies
The Section plays around 20 friendlies a year with other clubs on a home and away basis. They are an excellent way to experience some of the finest courses around, including Royal Cromer and Sheringham, at a much reduced rate which includes refreshments, a meal and green fees - when playing away.

‘Roll Ups’
For those who simply want to play the course, the Seniors informally meet on Mondays and Fridays at about 07:45 with teams made up on the day. Normally playing for the honour of buying the tea and biscuits, it is a great way to meet other club members who will certainly give you a warm welcome.
